"LE BLUR"

I took this photo after cocktails and dinner at NOBU Monte Carlo at the Fairmont Hotel. It was a short 15-minute walk back to my hotel, and you get to walk on the Circuit de Monaco's (the Formula 1 racecourse) famous hairpin turn toward the sea. In Monaco, hyper-exotic cars are not all that rare…very common to see Ferrari’s zipping around and crowded in front of hotels and restaurants. It was a real surprise to see (and hear) a lumbering American muscle car make the hairpin curve and speed past. I barely had time to get my camera out.

This photo has motion. The way the car is blurred driving by, and the downhill street heading under the bridge you can just feel the movement. I love the contrast between the evening sky, the lights lining the bridge, the yellow car (with its black stripes), and the red & white curb from the racecourse.
